Solar water heater is a device that heats water up naturally using direct sunlight. The Sun's rays fall on the collector panel, which is a cuboidal box covered with plain transparent glass. A black absorbing surface inside the collector absorbs solar radiation and transfer the heat energy to water flowing into the collector through coiled tube. Heated water is collected in a tank which is insulated to prevent heat loss.
